Course Overview-

Maryland Required Course to apply for your Maryland Wear & Carry

Course Length:  16 hours initial (Saturday and Sunday), or 8 hours renewal (Sunday only)

Course Location: This course will be held at our Training Center located in Georgetown Delaware. You will receive a map link with directions with your confirmation message after signing up for the course.

  • Types of handguns as well as the basics of firearm fundamentals

  • Ammunition knowledge and selection

  • Cleaning and Maintenance

  • Firearm selection

  • Use of Deadly Force

  • Daily carry lifestyle

  • Interactions with law enforcement

Live fire session:

  • Demonstrate Safety principles

  • Demonstrate Marksmanship Skills

 

Students should have a handgun and a minimum of 50 rounds of ammunition as well as a holster. Maryland requires a 25 round qualification course to pass the class. You must shoot a qualification course of fire with a 70% rating to qualify (you must hit a silhouette target 18 out of 25 times. Only one attempt will be allowed). Those who need additional assistance can take an individual fundamentals course before at a discounted rate. Let us know when signing up.

 

No one can guarantee that you will get the permit. Beware of companies that do. Our students have a high success rate because we strive to ensure your prepared for the class and course of fire. Many applicants choose to take a fundamentals course before the wear and carry. For those who are experienced with firearms we offer a one on one wear and carry course of fire preparation course to ensure your proficient before your class.
